Privacy Policy

1. Our Approach

The App is a tool for practicing along with tracks in your music library by setting loops and changing playback speed. The App does not require account registration and is not designed to collect or accumulate users' personal information.

2. Use of your music library

With your permission, the App uses Apple's MediaPlayer framework to browse, search, and play your music library. You can play tracks in your music library, including songs imported from CDs or purchased, and playing these library tracks does not require an Apple Music subscription (a valid Apple Music subscription is only needed to play Apple Music streaming content). Playback is performed through Apple's framework; the App does not read, store, or transmit the audio of the tracks themselves. Your use of your music library and Apple Music is subject to your agreement and privacy policy with Apple.

3. Microphone (Recording)

The App offers a feature (a Plus feature) to record your own playing for listen-back. Recording only occurs when you explicitly start it, and recordings (.m4a) are stored only on your device. We do not transmit these recordings to our servers or any third party, and we do not access their contents.

4. Information We Do Not Collect

The App does not collect personal information such as your name, email address, contacts, or location, nor tracking identifiers (e.g., advertising IDs) used to analyze usage. We do not embed any third-party analytics or advertising SDKs. However, only when you contact us do we receive the information you choose to send (see the "Contact" section).

5. On-Device Storage

Your loops, playback speed, settings, and recording metadata are stored only on your device (the App's storage area and UserDefaults). They are not transmitted to us.

This data is included in your device backup (iCloud Backup or a computer backup). When you switch devices, it carries over if you set up the new device by restoring from a backup or using Quick Start. We do not provide any syncing through our servers.

6. Purchase Information

The App's add-on "Ritorno Plus" is offered as a one-time in-app purchase. Payment and purchase-status management are handled by Apple; we do not receive payment information such as credit card numbers. Purchase status is determined on the device.

7. Network Communication

Browsing and searching your music library, and playing tracks stored on your device, are performed on the device. When needed—for example, to play Apple Music streaming content—the App may communicate with Apple's servers, in accordance with Apple's terms. We do not operate our own application server, and we do not transmit your actions or practice data to our servers.

8. Cookies and Website

This website (which hosts information about the App, this Policy, and related pages) is served as static content on cloud infrastructure. It does not use cookies, and we do not employ any analytics or tracking tools on it.

9. Disclosure to Third Parties

Except as required by law, we do not disclose users' personal information to third parties. We also do not sell users' personal information.

10. Data Retention

Data stored on your device (loops, settings, recordings, etc.) remains on your device until you delete the App, at which point it is removed. Any email address and content we receive through an inquiry are retained for as long as necessary to handle the inquiry and are deleted within a reasonable period after it has been resolved.

11. Your Rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of the information you sent to us through an inquiry. To make a request, please contact us using the details in the Contact section below. Note that data such as loops, settings, and recordings are stored only on your device, so you can edit or delete them yourself within the App.

12. Children

The App is a tool to support practice (e.g., instruments or singing). It is designed not to collect personal information so that it can be used safely regardless of age.

13. Security

We take reasonable measures to prevent leakage, loss, or damage of the information we handle, and to otherwise manage it safely.

14. Changes to this Policy

We may revise this Policy as necessary. For material changes, we will provide notice within the App or on this website.

15. Contact

When you contact us with an inquiry about the App or this Policy, we receive the email address you use and the content of your message. We use this information solely to respond to and handle your inquiry, and retain it only as needed to keep a record of the request. We do not disclose it to third parties except as required by law.
